If you have Time Warner cable, I recommend reviewing your bill each time it comes in.  For the past 7 months, they’ve been charging me for TWC Movie Pass, a slate of movie stations I don’t watch, and, WORSE, NEVER REQUESTED.  In other words, they will add packages to your bill without your consent.  The customer service representative first told me that he’d only credit me for one month of the service I didn’t ask for, then admitted the practice was unethical and illegal.  After I became irate, he finally caved and credited me for all seven months of service to which I, once again, NEVER CONSENTED.  Be vigilant.  Companies like Time Warner and ATT are white-collar thieves and con-artists. They bank on you NOT checking the itemized portion of your monthly statement and then rolling over when their customer service reps feign incompetence.
